Deli G on The Touch 10.04.92

Local legend Deli G was a regular on pirate radio, and even for a while after it turned legaly into Galaxy 101. At that time it wasn't quite the abomonation that it is now. This show was an example of the respect that it gave dance music in its different genres. Allowing a garage/house mix show with few interuptions. Great stuff.

Pete Rock mix - One World 2001

The One World show on Radio One started life as a fantastic thing. Guest mixes, little in the way of chat and great music. Kind of like the Essential Mix but with less dance and more hip hop/electronica/ambient/wierd stuff. It turned shit eventually, as most shows on radio one usually do, first drowning itself in post-rock nonsense and then turning away from dance-based genres completely and playing indie and folktronica until the show was ditched. Rather the way that The Blue Room went as well...

Anyhow, here is a great mix from producer extraordinaire Pete Rock.

Jumping Jack Frost live at Eclipse

First old rave tape to get ripped and put up here. Not great quality but good tunes. Don;t have a clue on the year for this, but if anyone would like to hazard a guess in the comments they'd be welcome.

UNKLE 'Do androids dream of electric beats?'

One CD from the triple radio mix set 'Do androids dream of electric beats?' by Unkle. This is the 'Gi' disc. The whole thing is, apparently, as rare as you like.

Bonus mix

Got this one off a forum. It's not off an old tape or CD so I can't really help you out with any more information than this. The tracklisting is on b00mb0x.org somewhere...

Mixed substances - mixed by Justice

Another cut price, label-based release. I brought this on the basis that it had the fabulous track 'Spandex' by Omnivore on it. Unfortunately it's just an inferior drum and bass mix of it. Anyhow, the thing as a whole isn't bad.

R&B mixé par DL LBR

From other mixes I've heard by him I rate LBR as one of France's best. However, this is an R&B mix CD that came with a special copy of Groove magazine and I don't like R&B. You might, though. First two tracks have been trimmed to keep the download lean.

Moving shadow 98.2

Moving Shadow, in a fit of good marketing rarely seen in the industry, released mix compilations in the late 90s of output from their label at super-low prices. A few other labels did the same but you don't see so many now. This is probably the best one from the MS camp.
